The Spot To Be on Put-In-Bay

The Roundhouse Bar (RHB) has had a long tradition of good music, good friends, and cold beer for over 135 years. In the early years, it was extremely inappropriate and taboo for a gentleman and a gentlewoman to enjoy a cold beverage with one another in the same bar. Always the trailblazer, The Roundhouse Bar eradicated this taboo once and for all and became the first drinking establishment on the island to allow men and women to share in a drinking camaraderie.

To this day, the RHB continues to be a trailblazer and we find almost any reason to celebrate each day as if it were a holiday. In fact, we celebrate Christmas in July, St. Paddy's Day in September, and Mardi Gras in May. In addition to the holiday events, the Roundhouse schedules at least one event or entertainment act everyday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. We have entertainment for everyone! Getting here is easy!

Passenger ferry service is provided by Jet Express from downtown Port Clinton on the dock at Jefferson street directly to downtown Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island. Three jet-powered catamaran ferry boats, the Jet Express I, the Jet Express II and Jet Express III provide you with a quick way to the bay!! The Jet Dock is located just a short stroll across the park from the Roundhouse Bar.

The Miller Boat Line provides service for passengers and vehicles from the tip of Catawba Island. Miller's auto-passenger ferries make the voyage from Catawba to South Bass Island in under 20 minutes. Miller Boat Line also offers passenger and vehicle service to Middle Bass Island.
